Snow devils!

Yesterday, while driving to the library on the winding bits of Route 146, I saw snow devils whirling and spinning across the road, breaking up as they ran into the trees at the side of the road. They looked so much like dust devils, except they were ghostly white.

It was all very pretty, so despite my disappointment at the library being closed because of the weather--all two inches of snowfall--I was glad I'd gone for the drive.

The problem wasn't the snow. It was the sheet of frozen slush underneath it.
