A couple of folks mentioned they'd be interested in
going, so I figured I'd post about it.

"The Durham Fair is the largest agricultural fair in Connecticut. Established in 1916, our fair is traditionally held the last full weekend of September. We feature many traditional agricultural programs year after year, as well as many brand new exhibits, activities and fair food items."

2005 Fair Dates:
September 23, 24 & 25, 2005

Fair Hours:
Friday and Saturday 9 am - 11 pm
Sunday 9 am - 7 pm

bedfull_o_books goes most years, and most years I go with her. This is one of those years. She likes visiting all the animals. I go to eat. There are also carnival rides.

Oh, and not to forget the tractor pull. :)

Anyway, it's $12 at the gate, $10 if you buy tickets in advance via Liberty Bank ATMs (which are scattered between Middletown and North Haven, CT).

Comment, send me email, or call my cell if you're interested. We'll probably be going either Saturday or Sunday. Carpooling is a really, really good idea.

I might well be persuaded to drive up one of those days, if there were folks wanting to go. And Sunday would probably be preferable for me, too, I think.
