I think we may be going to this but I'm not sure. Ask [livejournal.com profile] bedfull_o_books for more details. If we are, I'll post more.

Yeah, carpooling is a good idea, with those prices. I'm looking into alternative places to park, or taking some other sort of transit there. I'd arrange to meet you guys there, but this weekend is the only weekend I can go, I think. Hmmmm. Oh, but I ALSO have the cheap weeknight admission coupons, which would be _great_ if I wasn't working well into the evening on a plurality of days in the next few weeks....

I keep forgetting you're up there now. We should definitely talk, even if we can't go together, because we should connect somehow nonetheless.

From my Big E experience, if you go on a weekend, get there EARLY. Alia and I made the mistake a few years ago of telling my mother we would meet her there at something like 11:30 or 12, and we were WAY late due to hideous traffic coming in from the east. Weekdays don't have as much going on, but the traffic is much better.

That said: I grew up not far from the Big E, my family used to go almost every year, it is fun. See the statehouses, the animals, the shows... it's all good.

Yah, [livejournal.com profile] bedfull_o_books is talking Monday, which should be less insane.

Hey! You can visit me when you're done! (Or even stay with me the night before and/or the night of, depending on the weekend.)

And if you are back in CT, the Guilford fair http://www.guilfordfair.org/ is this week, and Durhams http://www.durhamfair.com/is next week.

My school is doing a bus trip up to the Big E the 23rd or 26th (whichever is a weekend day) and I was debating whether or not to go. They're aiming for evening, though. Probably to get one of the concerts.

I think the 23rd is a Friday which makes the 26th a Monday. I think <lj user=bedfull_o_books was planning on going on the 26th, but I won't swear to that. Anyway, we should definitely coordinate, if you do decide to go.

Ah! Then I believe it's Friday at 2:30. Hmmmm. Maybe I will go. I'll have to doublecheck the signs. Except... hm, though the discounted ticket and the free ride are good, I wouldn't be able to afford anything actually /at/ the Big E. Very sad.

Sure.

Now, to be clear, we won't be going Friday at all, because [livejournal.com profile] bedfull_o_books has work, so it's going to be Monday for us.

[livejournal.com profile] bedfull_o_books is one of those people from Boston intrigued by the concert. I don't get it, myself, but I'll tag along.

Let me know what your plans look like? It'd be cool to connect.

I got there with some friends around 2 yesterday (first full day) and the crowds weren't that bad. A Thunderstorm passed through around 4:30 -5 p.m. and nearly flooded some places out....
