My last day at work here.

I'm going to miss working in this office.

I'm really glad to be going back to the States, of course, because I miss everyone back there. But this office has been a great place to work, with good people. I liked it here. It was a fine place to work.

People have been stopping in to say goodbye. Actually, some of them started to come by yesterday because they thought that was my last day.

I feel like I've just gotten settled in, and now it's time to leave.

I'm sorry to hear it! That sounds like a hazard for short-term positions, doubly so internationally. But, I'm looking forward to having you back in the same time zone! Enjoy the trip back!

Bummer that you're feeling like you're losing some roots. I would say that this is USians' gain, except that your location of residence seems to have little to do with where you'll show up.

So where in the US are you returning to?

(And when are you ever actually going to make it to Florida? I'm hoping to move to Austin before too many more months pass by)
