Yah, this is one of those times when my phrasing is unintentionally ambigious: I meant "see where they stand on their own" in the sense of "what the current status of each strand is", but I can definitely see where it would be read as "make them stand separately".

In any case, it's still an example of my IM voice, which I'm told is recognizable from my speaking voice. :)
