Aaugh! Not again! My laptop is failing to charge, again.

I can't tell if it's the replacement charger, or if it's the laptop itself. Has anyone in Eastern MA got an old-style Mac laptop charger I can try before I buy another new charger brick? (It's the one with the round plug, not the magnetic one.)

Yeah, the appointment at the genuis bar costs you nothing. You could let them diagnose the problem for you.

It took all of a minute to diagnose with the help of a friend's charger, late in the evening after the genius bar was closed. It's the brick, not the laptop.

I have an extra PowerBook (works with titanium and aluminium PowerBook G4s, as well as the square style iBook G3 and G4s) power adaptor that I could let go for $50.00 and shipping.

In fact, I probably have two spares, which would leave me with one spare for my 12" PowerBook.

I don't know if you've tried it already, but don't buy another Apple brick, get one from Macwizards. Works like a charm and has not failed me once in the ~8 months I've had it. The only thing I don't like is that the charger plug doesn't change color to let you know it's charging (I have a problem with the piece inside my laptop so it's a little tricky), but that's a minor drawback.
