This just in from Chocolats Favoris:
Vous avez GAGNÉ! Et oui, notre célèbre saveur surprise "Caramel Fleur de Sel" est là pour rester. Elle deviendra une saveur permanente et sera donc disponible pour la crème glacée lors de l'ouverture des glaceries le 25 avril prochain! Deux nouvelles saveurs surprises seront disponibles sous peu... vous devinez? Partagez la bonne nouvelle si vous êtes contents. :)
As far as I'm concerned, it's all well and good that "Caramel Fleur de Sel" is becoming a permanent flavor, but the real news is that their ice creamery will be starting up for the season on the 25th of April.

Quebec road trip!

this is funny. Dave and i were talking about whether or not he'd wait to visit family in Presque Isle until i visit again, and i said "And we could also kip across the border and see Quebec' - I've never been!"

now, of course, this needs to happen. because caramel ice cream.

See, what they do, and what they're known for, is their ice cream dip combinations.

They have a couple of flavors of soft-serve ice cream, one of which is maple. Not maple walnut, just maple. They dip the soft-serve into one of a variety of their chocolate flavors, one of which I guess is now caramel fleur de sel.

I personally like their vanilla dipped in milk chocolate, which is very nice, but friends prefer their maple dipped in dark chocolate. They think I'm weird because I don't have the same thing for maple that they do.

Obviously they have many, many different kinds of chocolate around.

This clearly needs to happen.
