This just in from Chocolats Favoris:
Quebec road trip!
:)As far as I'm concerned, it's all well and good that "Caramel Fleur de Sel" is becoming a permanent flavor, but the real news is that their ice creamery will be starting up for the season on the 25th of April.

Date: 2014-03-18 04:02 pm (UTC)You will! It is my favorite ice cream place in Quebec City, and they do it as a sideline to their gourmet chocolate business. What's not to like? Well, except for the queues in summer, which are unsurprisingly long but move quickly.
Hope your other travels continue to go well! Thanks for posting all of the updates - it's fun to follow along at home :)
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them!

Date: 2014-03-19 04:14 am (UTC)They have a couple of flavors of soft-serve ice cream, one of which is maple. Not maple walnut, just maple. They dip the soft-serve into one of a variety of their chocolate flavors, one of which I guess is now caramel fleur de sel.
I personally like their vanilla dipped in milk chocolate, which is very nice, but friends prefer their maple dipped in dark chocolate. They think I'm weird because I don't have the same thing for maple that they do.
Obviously they have many, many different kinds of chocolate around.
This clearly needs to happen.

Date: 2014-03-19 04:22 am (UTC)People differ as to the gender of the phrase, but if you do a google search for "une road trip", or "le road trip", you get some appropriate French language hits.
(Searching for "la road trip" gets you obvious road trips out of LA, and searching for "un road trip" returns hits about the 2011 Boaz Frankel reality TV show.)
