Last night, at Tropfest, an annual festival of short films, one of the sponsors was Krispy Kreme. Talking to some of the people I went with, I discovered that there are more shops in Greater Sydney than there are in Greater Boston. (Okay, the numbers are two in Sydney and one in Boston, but still.)
Anyway, there was surprise when I said that it wasn't even the biggest American donut chain.
The films were uneven but fun enough until it started to rain, because they were being shown on three big screens in the middle of the Domain, a part of the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Also, there were bats circling overhead at dusk.

Sure, looks good. The only thing that might be a problem is that we might cross the Tasman Sea in opposite directions past each other. But that's not likely. What is likely is that we'll be able to meet up either in Auckland or in Sydney.
