Irish Ferries? Wait...oh, right.
May. 4th, 2014 09:16 pmWhen I saw this, I had the following thoughts in quick succession:
"Why 'family friendly'?"
"Wait, the ship's name is the 'Oscar Wilde'?"
"That's a terrible pun."

For me the final kicker is the "watch video" pointer at the bottom.

Date: 2014-05-05 11:40 am (UTC)If your device isn't unlocked, there are a multitude of shops which advertise device unlocking, at varying levels of dodginess. My phone was unlocked by my carrier before I left, which is what I recommend.
If you don't have a GSM device, you can always get a cheap phone when you get there. Again, deals change all the time. I got mine from Carphone Warehouse mainly because it was convenient. I know I could have done better than £10 because they had a deal for £5 but that handset was out of stock at the particular location I bought mine from.

I'm guessing I want that, but it'd be awesome if you could confirm my interpretation of their sales language. (This is kind of like how long it took me to catch up when all the stores started using BOGO in their sales materials).

Finally, if you have a SIM but no device, they sell handsets without contracts. That's the probably the "sim free" category.
If the minimum top-up is £20 things have gotten expensive since I last went looking for a phone in the UK, though it might be that Carphone Warehouse doesn't have the cheap deals. I actually went to them in a hurry because they were nearby when it turned out the handset I was lent wasn't working.
I'm in a little bit of a rush right now as I have imaging today so I haven't looked the site over, but I'll be glad to look at it with you later in person.
(Edit for clarity.)

I'm trying to figure out from the video what the target market is. I can spot the "We will keep your children entertained." segment, and the casino segment. The rest seems to be like a nighclub: restaurant, bar, and entertainment.
